The French Med School Group (FMG) is an organisation concerned with international solidarity.  The organisation is run by medical students from the University of Paris (Paris Descartes) who have been responsible for sending students to CTRD over the last 10 years. During this time the FMG has provided ambulances, medical equipment, building facilities and capacity building.

Our main goal is to contribute to CTRD's long term sustainable development. We do this by raising money in France which in turn goes towards the purchasing of agricultural lands that can generate income for CTRD.

The money raised by FMG goes towards CTRD's agricultural development through the cultivation of tea, pepper and silver oak  which also provide long term employment for local tribal communities.

Previously CTRD was dependent on European donations in order to maintain its projects. The FMG's priority has been to increase CTRD's ability to be self-sufficient and to decrease it's dependency on donor agencies for its survival.

Each year FMG volunteers visit CTRD for one month to make sure that the projects are being successfully implemented and that they are functioning correctly. During this time volunteers visit the project areas and take part in CTRD's work. The French Med School Group has been proud to support CTRD over the last 10 years and has been delighted with CTRD's progress towards a sustainable future where FMG's support is no longer required.
